I purchased Nimzo 8 over the Yule Tide to add to my every increasing Chess Base stable. One thing that struck me as odd was the default setting for the valuation of the pieces. Do these differences increase its playing strength? Does this mean that its default set-up plays better than P=1, K&B=3, R=5 and Q=9? Are there better alternative valuations that people know of and can suggest to use with Nimzo 8? What do people think about revaluing pieces, apart from altering the style of play of the computer, does it necessarily add to its strength? Many thanks Matthew
