i dislike anonymous posting too. frankly, i don't want to read what's written by people who are unwilling to stand behind their word. but to me there is a difference between posting anonymously and posting using a psuedonym. i would be hard pressed to classify someone who posts regularly using a psuedonym, has a valid e-mail address associated with their psuedonym, and doesn't post using other names as anonymous. you mention Komputer Korner. to me, Komputer Korner has a strong identity as a person. in fact "Komputer Korner" means more to me than "Tomalty". if someone starts posting here using the name "Joe Programmer" then I won't care, as long as that is the sole identity they use in this forum. now, perhaps requiring people to use common names (even ask them to use their legal names) might discourage people from double dipping in the name pool. that would be good. on the other hand, it might stop someone like Komputer Korner from contributing. that would be bad. just my two cents. - edward
