Go up one level in this thread
Let me declare a personal note to my critics or those who still have bad feelings from the past. Actually I have nothing personal against any of you. And no matter what happens this will stay like this. Take me by my word. As soon as I feel resent I will try to solve it, and if not possible leave the debate with that person. Next time perhaps it goes a little bit better in another thread. I must confess that I am not very experienced in technical details and theories of computerchess, so that field is almost taboo for me. Only if some meta questions might develop then I would be interested. Since I play myself against computer programs I am interested in all chess questions, rating etc. Out of actual reason let me confirm that I have no agenda against certain persons or institutions in computerchess. Of course I have a lot of critical questions. But I want to stress the point that I would like to make things better with critics. I won't take offense if persons have personal difficulties with critics but I would beg that a certain level of communication shall not be undercut. Myself I will respect the feelings of others. So if someone is apparently unable to digest critics I will no longer mention him or address him indirectly. At some topics you will find many posts from me while in others or over periods you won't find any posts at all. For someone in my position computerchess is a fine hobby and almost a scientifical pass-time too. Believe me one thing, I am a lover of computerchess and I won't destroy that. Those of you who can't tolerate me, please set me on Ignore. It would make no sense in trying to provoke me because I am no longer the 22 y. old guy from the '90s. That was a virtual reality in the past. Here I won't react on personal attacks as you could already see. BTW, critical questions, hard questions, insisting questions are not personal attacks, I want to make sure that you know that I would be pleased to receive many questions and doubts. I want to learn here, that's for sure. Please, let's have fun in what we are doing here. GENS UNA SUMUS Rolf Tueschen P.S. This is the last personal declaration of that sort of course. :) I beg for your understanding that I can't discuss on the topic and won't react on personal questions because it would disturb. Please use email instead for important questions and commentary.
