Just wondering if you have any thoughts on it. I think it was manufactered around 1982 and I've got an old blury photo of it that I took in 1987 below. Just wondering if it is rare or not, I don't hear the Hanimex chess computers mentioned often. http://www.zeta.org.au/~tommy/hanimex_chess_computer.jpg The computer on the right is my friends Tandy 1450 (Scisys?), we played the two machines against each other and the Tandy 1450 would win most the games. The Hanimex is obviously the computer on the left, it had a brushed metal suface, the pieces were pegs and you pushed down on the piece to register a move. It had 8 levels where the highest level would take an average of 30-40 minutes to make a move. It didn't have the ability to set up positions. And just for your interest, here are recent photos of my other dedicated chess computers. I believe these are common models... http://www.zeta.org.au/~tommy/Tandy1850.jpg http://www.zeta.org.au/~tommy/Tandy1650.jpg http://www.zeta.org.au/~tommy/chessChampion2150L.jpg Cheers, Tom
