G'day Steve,

Have you ever heard of the Hanimex Computachess II?  Just wondering if you have
any thoughts on it.  I think it was manufactered around 1982 and I've got an old
blury photo of it that I took in 1987 below.  Just wondering if it is rare or
not, I don't hear the Hanimex chess computers mentioned often.

The computer on the right is my friends Tandy 1450 (Scisys?), we played the two
machines against each other and the Tandy 1450 would win most the games.  The
Hanimex is obviously the computer on the left, it had a brushed metal suface,
the pieces were pegs and you pushed down on the piece to register a move.  It
had 8 levels where the highest level would take an average of 30-40 minutes to
make a move.  It didn't have the ability to set up positions.

And just for your interest, here are recent photos of my other dedicated chess
