Could I suggest you to go a little back in the thread and read what I wrote?
And in the above quote 'Some other engines'.
In my main list you had Wb or Uci engines (some with both protocols.)

I don't know which DB-tools are most used so I was thinking of at least three:
CAs, CB and CAc.

It isn't the point that people own such a DB-tool, but if the difference between
two engines are their ability to be used in such a tool it is important.
If you ask a chessplayer from clublevel and up if he want to buy CB, CA etc. I'm
sure most will answer that they have thought of it.

What you manage to make out of this for getting them to buy your engine is up to
you. Likewise if it is hard for a user to install an engine into another
program, this can be done with installertool or even some description from
either the engine-author or the db-author
