I do not know of any reason that Fritz8 analysis cannot be imported into a Chess Assistant database or tree, without regard to the fact that the fritz engine must be run as a dll extension in the chessbase playchess interface (or cb8) for analytical purposes. Therefore I will not conclude that one needs to purchase a 350 usd package from chessbase for that end. the 90usd package from chessAssistant does a fine job. ChessAssistant, as you may know, can read pgn, cbf and cbh extension DBs beside it's native format. Once the Fritz analysis is imported and built into a tree, the CA minimax function is available. I hope I have attempted to answer your question, Mr.D. -Marc On April 29, 2004 at 09:27:18, Vincent Diepeveen wrote: >On April 29, 2004 at 09:09:58, Odd Gunnar Malin wrote: > >>On April 29, 2004 at 08:45:16, Vincent Diepeveen wrote: >> >>>On April 29, 2004 at 02:41:30, Odd Gunnar Malin wrote: >>> >>>>Some other engines can be run in spesific DB-tools like Fritz, Junior, and >>>>Tiger(2). >>>> >>>Please expain to me how you plan to load Fritz under CA. >> >>The spesific DB-tools for Fritz is ChessBase. >>The (2) for Tiger is that it can be used in both CA and CB. >> >>Else I forgot Ruffian in the other list, maybe some other engines too. >> >>Odd Gunnar > >So you want everybody to run under chessbase. > >First people must pay what is it, 359 euro to buy chessbase mega package, > >then a part of those users might buy other software to run under that. > >Basically you say i should target at those 1000 guys who want to run other >software under their chessbase? > >Like 50 euro for shredder8 (i understand Mike Byrne would never buy a chess >engine as he only wants to spend 30 euro, so at least 1 of the nerds would not >buy it). > >And if i'm real lucky then a small part of those users will buy DIEP, if it >would get sold? > >What planet do you come from?
