With computers and >software being to cheap and things like Palms, one would think people would no >longer demand them. sadly there are not many serious collectors for the old computers i would hazzard a guess that there are no more then perhaps 25-50 collectors worldwide i collect chess books as well by contrast, there are literally thousands of serious chess book collector's there is very little demand for old chess computers as you suggested young chess players would laugh at the idea of paying hundreds of dollars for an old machine that can be easily defeated by a $25 pc chess program the only dedicated computers worth any real value would be the very rare computers such as the ones shown on the web site i posted in my reply to Mr. Burcham Best Regards Steve
