In 1992 I brought a Novag Diablo rated at 2225 by ICD. Today both the Mephisto Milano Pro and Novag Diamond II are rated about 2225 on the Selective Search list. Both computers are supposed to be upgrades from earlier versions. Of course, the Mephisto Atlanta is lot stronger but at $400 a lot expensive. My question is can manufacturers produce a machine rated 2350+ for $249. As of this date the answer has been no. I no longer rely on USCF action chess ratings because they don't mean a hill of beans. I wonder how long we the consumers will have to wait for such a machine. If anyone has any info please post to this newsgroup. regards, Frank
