If those people would rather play computers than other people, then it is a
solution, not a problem.

Who cares if they get a bad name?  They don't have any felings to get hurt.
If people get turned off by computers, then they will play against people again.
 You could always create a "people only" FICS node (which would promplty get
filled with cheaters -- no doubt)
