While there does not exist a vast amount of books in English on the old computers,there are of course some the most prolific English writer on the old computers was David Levy who essayed forth about a dozen titles Tim Harding released two books in the early -mid 1980's dealing with the currently available dedicated units of that time many consider the mid 1980's as the "Golden Age" for chess computers his 1983 "The Chess Computer Book" followed by his 1985 "The New Chess Computer Book" (both by Pergamon Chess)are MUST haves for anyone interested in computers during this time period or for anyone serious about their collection they are my personal favorite chess computer books here is a link to a fairly exhaustive listing of books on computer chess while some of the titles are about Mainframe chess computers there are many listed about the dedicated units the link also makes suggestions as to where these books can be purchased the two Harding books are mentioned as well: http://www.lkessler.com/ccbooks.shtml Literary Regards Steve
