Hello, a new version of Jose is available for download at: http://jose-chess.sourceforge.net There haven't been many changes in the user interface, but a couple of improvements "under the hood": * new archive file format for storing databases. (as an alternative to PGN files) * MySQL 5.0 database engine * bundled chess engines: TogaII and Spike. Thanks to Thomas Gaksch, Ralf Schäfer and Volker Böhm. there's also an experimental "Web Servlet" that can be used to present Jose databases on web sites: http://jose-chess.sourceforge.net/servlet.html if you're interested, or need help setting it up on a web server, please let me know. a Mac OS X version is also available, but unfortunately database features are a bit unreliable. If you're using Jose as a database tool on Mac OS X I recommend that you stick with the previous version, 1.3.6 Have Fun, Peter
