But it is _not_ >correct. This is a clear bug, any chess programmer will tell you so... I don't believe it's a bug of Shredder 8. My post above shows Shredder 8 analysis of the position and does not ever announce mate in 11. Probably a corruption of the info while making moves forward and backward with the position. Unfortunately here is an example of the problem with ProDeo 1.1. 00:00:00.4 -Mate in 0 1 170 Rh7 Nxf2# 00:00:00.5 -6.64 1 1673 Bxf7+ Kxf7 Rf4+ Kg6 00:00:00.5 -2.30 1 1945 Qd6+ Qf6 Qxg3+ Qg5 00:00:00.5 -1.88 1 2599 Qd3+ Kf6 Qd6+ Kg5 Qxg3+ Kf6 00:00:00.5 -1.88 2 2903 Qd3+ Kf6 Qd6+ Kg5 Qxg3+ Kf6 00:00:00.5 -1.88 2 3208 Rg4+ 00:00:00.5 0.00 2 3320 Rg4+ Kh7 Qh4+ Kg8 Qd8+ Kh7 00:00:00.5 0.00 3 3853 Rg4+ Kh7 Qh4+ Kg8 00:00:00.5 0.00 4 9919 Rg4+ Kh7 Qh4+ Kg8 Qd8+ Kh7 Qh4+ Kg8 Qd8+ 00:00:00.5 0.00 5 31596 Rg4+ Kh7 Qh4+ Kg8 Qd8+ Kh7 Qh4+ Kg8 Qd8+ 00:00:00.5 0.00 5 46210 Qd6+ 00:00:00.5 0.00 5 48909 Qd6+ 00:00:00.6 0.00 5 46210 Qd6+ 00:00:00.7 0.00 6 162677 Rg4+ Kh7 Qh4+ Kg8 Qd8+ Kh7 Qh4+ Kg8 Qd8+ 00:00:01.0 0.00 7 403409 Rg4+ Kh7 Qh4+ Kg8 Qd8+ Kh7 Qh4+ Kg8 Qd8+ 00:00:02.5 0.00 8 1414802 Rg4+ Kh7 Qh4+ Kg8 Qd8+ Kh7 Qh4+ Kg8 Qd8+ 00:00:07.1 0.00 9 4852139 Rg4+ Kh7 Qh4+ Kg8 Qd8+ Kh7 Qh4+ Kg8 Qd8+ 00:00:21.6 0.00 10 16219702 Rg4+ Kh7 Qh4+ Kg8 Qd8+ Kh7 Qh4+ Kg8 Qd8+ 00:01:04.8 0.00 11 50424439 Rg4+ Kh7 Qh4+ Kg8 Qd8+ Kh7 Qh4+ Kg8 Qd8+ 00:03:43.2 0.00 12 175080342 Rg4+ Kh7 Qh4+ Kg8 Qd8+ Kh7 Qh4+ Kg8 Qd8+ 00:03:58.9 0.00 12 187017305 Qd3+ 00:04:01.5 0.00 12 188901047 Qd3+ 00:04:17.1 Mate in 12 12 200972720 Qd3+ f5 Qxg3+ Kf6 Qd6+ 00:05:40.4 Mate in 12 13 267914170 Qd3+ f5 Qxg3+ Kf6 Qd6+ Kg5 Rh5+ Kxh5 Bf7+ 00:11:21.0 Mate in 12 14 532797031 Qd3+ f5 Qxg3+ Kf6 Qd6+ Kg5 Rh5+ Kxh5 Bf7+ 00:53:30.4 Mate in 14 15 2370064214 Qd3+ f5 Qxg3+ Kf6
