If it is an UCI or WB2UCI program you can create as much own changed versions,
as you want and give them any name you like, after this you don't have to care
anymore, if it really has the settings you made up.

Create a new UCI engine with your desired name and change the parameters
as desired. Save the parameters with your desired name and from now on
this particulary engine is always loaded with _your_ saved changes.
This is not possible for the few CB natives.
