 Crafty hasn't beta versions at all, AFAIK. At least nobody published them.
 GambitFruit could use the same naming convention, there's no need to call
them beta. "Beta" has something suspicious, unreliable in it, and one expect
that
there will be some "final" version at the end. But there's never a final version
of a chess engine.
