HMmmmmmmmmmmmm yes........ but 2 people report this problem......MUST be
more people as well as people that NOT know about this server. I wonder how
many are like me are getting new DVD drive .........perhaps (relatively)
uselessly as current DVD drive functions very well in ALL areas (Plays movies
and other games like fritz 8, Mech Warrior etc. ad nauseum -- ergo it would
seem that it is a chessbase issue with a number of perhaps DVD
readers............ PERHAPS issue is with RADICAL copywritght protection.....
the PROBLEM is NOT with a BAD disc.... I ordered a replacement.... and 2nd disc
does NOT work as well!! THe program acts almost like a dirty (unclean) disk as
all that happens is the that the DVD drive spins and spins but NOTHING happens.
Lens is clean as other disks work very well.. . NO ...windows explorer will
not open the program either... as the disk can NOT be read!! What IS
interesting is the disk Multimedia files can be read via windows media player!!
(no sound however.) Computer Tecnician believe it is not a Windows Media player
decoder to play movies issue either.. ( No the decoder is NOT for craking
Programs --it is a standard component that one can get from a number of
companies like Nvidia to enhance windows media player) I tried wiping the OS
(Win 64) but NO joy!! VIrus scans and anti spy ware scans show nothiong wrong.
I tried also to disable said programs to install Fritz 9. No joy there either!
Note also that when other DVD dirves hooked up to the computer it does INDEED
install ergo it MUST be a DVD issue...(drivers are current.) HOW MANY other
DVD drives will not read Fritz 9 as well one wonders as this was reported by me
and another person at this forum..................HHmmmmmmmmmmmmmm WASSUP wi
dat?! Alex.
