While we are on the subject of pistols,
I have a Smith&Wesson model 686 in blue/black finish. This pistol was supposed
to be stainless steel but it is not. The real blue/black was the model 586.

Is this considered a rare error by the factory and therefore make this pistol a
collectors item? Or this kind of thing is common with S&W?
