I totally aggree with what Bruce said. If it is ready to play, no matter how weak, let it play on the servers! You can't learn more to improve your engine than by seeing it play against humans. And it's so much fun to see it play on the servers :) ...and you can always have a nice smalltalk with other programmers, even interesting tech-talk, and some programmers will even give you hints, they won't give you in a public forum like this! (just trying to convince you ;-) Btw., if you can let it play automatically on ICC, than you can let it play automatically on FICS too. It's the same protocol! In fact, you only have to make your engine Winboard/XBoard compatible. And maybe FICS is the better starting point, because it's free. Looking forward to see you and your engine there, Heiko.
