Please read the manual for some kind of complete reset key press combination.
Most chess computers will have this. If not a physical reset button. Removing
all power and the backup battery (if it has one) might also reset its memory.

Let only a qualified technician touch the robot, no amateurs. Also, did the kids
tell you what they did to it? Like holding the arm while it was moving. Knowing
what happen might help diagnose the problem.

I am sure this robot will one day rise again.
