yes

for me the dedicated computers were an extention of Chess
to be able to keep playing when facing human opponents was no longer an option
for me

they added to the chess
they did not REPLACE the chess


its funny..life goes by very quickly

it does not seem so long ago that i can remember that i was called "high-tech"by
my freinds  because i was an early adopter of the dedicated computers

now we are seen by most here as old horses ,,better off lead to the glue factory
