I don't get it, I really don't. You don't in fact think that SMK is trying to
"attack" Chess960, do you? In the surely unlikely case that you do, what would
be his motive in your opinion?
I think in the context of your campaign in favor of your format (which of course
you are entitled to carry on as long as it pleases you) it is also unwise to
label everyone who happens to not side with you an enemy or some similar such
thing of FRC, because doing so will be the safest way possible to get everyone
side with SMK, and this will in my opinion eventually include at least part of
the people who might otherwise like your proposal on the basis of technical or
philosophical merits.
Note please that while I like the compromises in SMK's proposal better than
those in yours, the very same thing would in my opinion apply to him were he to
start suggesting on a daily basis that everyone not using Shredder-FEN in their
game notations be a traitor to the common cause of Fischer-Random Chess.
