And Rome has due to its old stones a more history loaded atmosphere. >Reykjavik was simliar i thought to the east side Don't know Reykjavik yet but sounds interesting... :) >and Caracas like the east village Don't know that one either... >the city is unique in that not only is there Manhattan but 4 other boroughs Yes, but for that I will have to come back again... ;) > > >>>Times Square Impressed Regards > >2 blocks from my office Regards >Steve Ah, okay. In the very heart of Manhattan. :) Which actually for me (for the time being) looks like the ultimate city! If you love large buildings, rush hour, hurried pedestrians, honking... or simply a never sleeping city with all its pro and cons then this is probably the best place to be (Okay, I haven't been in Tokyo yet, just in Narita over night which is not comparable. Maybe the Japanese Capital is similar in that respect). Btw honking: An interesting cultural difference is that here (and many other places around the world) honking belongs to car-driving like milk to a café au lait. In Germany however it's considered to be rather offensive. You simply don't do it unless you have a very good reason... Ahem, anyway. ;) Good Nite Regards, Martin
